Check out Mewtwo in the latest trailer for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! Mewtwo Trailer

The latest trailer for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! has some spiffy new stuff to show off for gamers. The upcoming Switch title is the first mainline entry for the Pokémon franchise on the console, and it looks like things are shapely up nicely. The latest trailer for the adventure game runs through some of the tougher challenges gamers will face with Pokémon: Let’s Go. Namely, finding and catching Legendary Pokémon like Mewtwo.

Pokémon: Let’s Go has plenty of gameplay elements between these legendary challenges though. With iconic Gym battles with the likes of Brock, Misty and Lt. Surge also act as challenging hurdles for the players to overcome. Although the development team is making this slightly more kid-friendly by instituting Gym requirements in-game aimed at teaching the youngest fans about Type Advantage.

And given that this game is a more direct descendant of Pokémon Go than the old-school Red, Blue and Yellow, the capture mechanics are much closer to the mobile AR game than the original JRPG battle system. Which should also help the younger audiences enjoy the story more than focus on ultra-tactical approaches to battles like that of hardcore fans.

Then there’s other Legendary Pokémon, like the strange new Meltan that has it’s own unique spawn requirements, and can then be encountered and caught in Pokémon Go. There are of course the three iconic Birds, Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno out there to capture as well. Fans can also expect to see their favorite duo of bumbling, but lovable Team Rocket members, Jesse and James in the game as well.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are releasing exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 16, You can check out the newest trailer for the game down below. There’s also a cool new Switch console bundle for the game too.
