With the conclusion of Pokémon Go’s January 2022 Community Day, we already know what’s coming. It’s going to be another Community Day, with another spotlight shone on a new Pokémon. This time, we’re seeing Spheal get the VIP treatment.
With this new event, there will once again be a ticket to buy for premium access. The ticket will be pretty cheap, but will give you a special quest, as well as a few free items. Players who don’t buy in will get some bonus items though, so it’s not all bad. Stardust rewards are boosted, as are spawns of the chosen Pokémon as well.
What’s January 2022’s Community Day going to have?
January 2022’s Community Day will take place on January 16th. The event will run from 11 AM to 5 PM in your local time zone. If you evolve Spheal into a Walrein up to two hours after the event, 7 PM, your Walrein still has the chance to learn a special move. Powder Snow and Icicle Spear will be the new moves for those that upgrade their Pokémon.
Alongside the Community Day event, there will be a special research story called The Spheal Deal that players can participate in if they buy the ticket. Here are all of the rewards and bonuses you can get during Spheal Community Day:
- 3 x Catch Stardust
- 3-hour Lure & Incense
- Powder Snow automatically applied to any Spheal evolved into Walrein, or any Walrein caught.
- Spheal appears more often
