Pokemon GO Halloween 2018 Event includes new Raid and other goodies

The rampantly popular mobile game Pokémon Go is getting in on the Halloween fun with an in-game event that runs throughout October and well into November.

Here’s a look at some of the official details:

“Pokémon GO Halloween is back for a spooky good time! Ghost-type and Dark-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, such as Drifloon and Stunky, join in on the fun, which begins on October 23 at 1:00 p.m. PDT! And, because you can’t have tricks without any treats, Trainers will be able to earn double Candy for every Pokémon caught until November 1 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.”

Giratina joins Suicune from Generation 2 as the two currently active Legendary Pokémon. But hurry up, because Giratina runs out of the game on November 20 at 1:00 p.m. PST. Giratina is weak to Dragon and Ghost-type attacks so bringing in friends like Gengar, Latios and Dragonite will give you a decent advantage. Then it’s great luck that Gengar is currently part of a special in-game event.

The game will also feature a variety of participation rewards for players. Any captures during the course of the event will earn double the amount of Candy for each one. Players also get a crack at various Sinnoh region Pokémon. But it’s not just Giratina being added for Raids in the game.

There are five total tiers, with Giratina at the topmost tier. Here’s the full tier list:

Tier 1
