Pokemon GO: Gengar Day date and details revealed
Niantic aren’t one to miss out on the fun this month with new in-game events. In addition to the Halloween events, which feature a new Giratina raid, Niantic is now hosting a Gengar Day early this November to let Pokémon Go players get a crack at catching a Shiny version of the popular Ghost-type from Generation 1.
The event will run on November 3, here’s the full details and timeframe, courtesy of Niantic:

Aside from the latest in-game event, there’s other news for the popular mobile game.
Aa new Adventure Sync mode will be added to the game that allows the game servers to track player GPS locations much more accurately. This means that players will be less likely to fall victim to rubber-banding and other glitchy tracking issues.
The upcoming feature does not yet have a release date, but it will allow players to record their walking distances even when they haven’t opened the game. It will simply record the distance walked in the background. This will probably also have the feature used as part of the anti-cheat system in the game.
The event will also include a shiny variant of Gengar, which doesn’t differ too much from the normal version. Check out a preview image of the Pokémon down below.
