Pokémon Go details Valentine’s Day events and Research

Pokémon Go Valentine's Day 2019

Pokémon Go fans love this game, and the only thing they seem to love more than catching Pokémon is the joy of new in-game events. And just like on previous holidays and events, Niantic is bringing more fun things to in their mobile title. Completing these events and capturing the special Pokes will gain new rewards to, so get to it.

Pokémon Go Valentine’s Day Celebration for 2019 officially began on February 13 at 1:00 PM PST. The Celebration for 2019 will end on February 21 at 1:00 PM PST.

The current trend seems to be really hyping up the color pink, as is the case with the marketing for Valentine’s Day. As was the case with previous events in the game, wild Pokémon have had their spawn rates buffed massively to allow players to have a chance at getting superpowered versions, even Shiny variants. Clefairy, Hoppip, and Luvdisc have all have their spawns increased across the board. Other pink-colored Pokémon have also had their spawn chances from 7 KM eggs increased.

Other bonuses are being toggled on as well, such as increased duration for Lures, up to six hours, and a doubling of Catch Candy rewards.

Pokémon Go is getting more fun for Valentine’s Day, so get out there with your friends, or even your significant other, in order to catch some new Pokémon. And with all this new content, there’s plenty to do. First up is the new Research goals and their Rewards. The Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day 2019 Field Research Tasks are as follows:

In other news, Niantic recently released another wave of Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, and these Gen 4 Pokémon are something fans have been asking for over a long time.

Other updates to the game have included the long-awaited inclusion of trainer PvP. There was also a string new Raids which included some brand new Legendary Poké friends. And of course there’s the Swinub Community Day which is set to kick off on February 16 at 11am PST. And just like other events, it will include a rare chance to grab both the evolved form Mamoswine, and Shiny variants of both forms.

Pokémon Go is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
