Pokémon Go Animation Week 2020 is about to kick off. The Animation Week 2020 event has brought new Timed Research to Pokémon Go as a celebration of the anime adventures of Ash Ketchum. So if you want to relive his legendary exploits in the mobile game, now’s the chance.
The Pokemon Go Animation Week 2020 event begins on November 6 and runs until the 12th. During that time you can you can complete Timed Research Tasks to gain various rewards and encounter increased spawns of some Pokémon.
Raids, Eggs and more
The event runs for the next week, until November 12 and will feature a whole host of Raids, Egg spawns, increased Shiny and base encounters as well. There’s so much to do and so little time to do it in.
Spawn Increases
The following Pokemon will be more common in spawns during the event:
- Bulbasaur
- Croagunk
- Cubone
- Cyndaquil
- Dratini
- Exeggcute
- Meowth
- Paras
- Pikachu
- Piplup
- Psyduck
- Scyther
- Spearow
- Wurmple
There are also a bunch of 7 KM unique Eggs too. These include Cubone, Pichu, Mantyke, and Riolu for easy spawns. And yes, they have increased Shiny rates as well. Some of these spawns will also have unique moves when hatched from 7 KM Eggs, One of these is Scyther. Lugia can also have a new move when encountered and captured in Raids. There are also some Raid spawns unique to the event as well.

Pokemon GO Animation Week 2020 Rewards and Tasks
By completing each task in the week, you will gain various rewards for both PvE and PvP play. Players can also get free encounters, as is the norm for these in-game events.
Here are the tasks and rewards for the Pokémon Go Animation Week 2020:
Task 1
- Catch five Pokemon: Razz Berry x3
- Transfer a Pokemon: Super Potion x3
- Make three Nice Throws: Poke Ball x5

- Battle another Trainer: Hyper Potion x3
- Battle in a Raid: Revive x3

- Battle in a Gym two times: Fast TM x1
- Win a Gym Battle: Hariyama Encounter
- Battle another Trainer: Super Potion x3

- Hatch an Egg: Tentacool Encounter
- Spin three PokeStops or Gyms: Croagunk Encounter
