PlayStation Now, the game streaming service for Sony fans, is getting better and better every month. The service expands with new games each month from a variety of console generations, including modern PS4 hits as well as PS3 and PS2 classics. So strap in and take a look at what Sony has planed for this month.
Playstation Now is jumping onto the fighting game train by adding in the excellent Mortal Kombat X. This story-heavy fighting game brings back many iconic Mortal Kombat characters for more brawling and bloodshed. It even introduced some new characters for fan to enjoy.
Then there’s Metro Last Light. The Redux version, which includes all the bug fixes and additional content in one package, so that’s cool. And if you’re looking to get back into the franchise ahead of the launch of Metro Exodus, this is the best time to do just that.
This collection includes the original MSX versions of the Metal Gear games, but that’s not all. There’s also Metal Gear Solid 2 and MGS 3, as well as a reported version of Peacewalker, that excellent PSP title. It’s great to see this legendarily weird game franchise coming to a potential new audience.

Last month the service got hold of various titles meant to drum up interest for new and upcoming releases. There was God Eater 2, Metro 2033, which were clearly timed to coincide with the upcoming sequels in those franchises. Other games added in January included Project Cars 2, Prey and more.
In other news, Sony is working on expanding the coverage for the streaming platform, aiming primarily at expanding to various European countries. The service is planned to roll out to Spain, Italy, Portugal, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Previously, the only European countries who have had access to PlayStation Now has been UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Luxemburg and Ireland.
This latest set of additions pushes the total number of titles in the PS Now library to over 700 entries. This also means that PS4 owners can now stream 275+ games directly to their consoles without fully downloading them, saving a ton of time while getting access to some great games.
