Planet Coaster teases Ghostbusters addon

Planet Coaster Ghostbusters DLC Announced

Planet Coaster, what many would consider one of the best modern theme park builder sims, is getting even better with the release of some newly announced DLC. Film fans and nerds alike will be excited to hear that the newest content update for the game will be completely themed after the iconic and uproariously funny Ghostbusters film. Ghostbusters is, of course, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, which makes it easy to see why this is coming out now.

The biggest new addition is that many of the actors from the franchise will be reprising their legendary roles through newly recorded voice work. Dan Aykroyd and William Atherton will both be working with Frontier Developments to record entirely new voice lines for the Ghostbusters they portrayed in the film. This means that both Raymond Stantz and antagonist Walter Peck will be returning and playing prominent roles in the DLC. This is sure to delight many fans.

The Ghostbusters pack will not only include new parts to plug into your parks, but also an entirely new singleplayer campaign scenario. Rides and coasters themed after moments from the film, as well as iconic images like ECTO-1 and Slimer will feature heavily in this new content. Fans can expect plenty of spooky fun when this DLC drops. There’s no specfic release date yet, so we’ll just have to bide our time, perhaps by watching some nostalgic old films.

Planet Coaster is out now on PC via Steam. You can take a look at the new content coming soon to the sim in the trailer down below.
