Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, the continuation of the excellent Obsidian CRPG franchise has another new expansion. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire took players on a journey through the Deadfire Archipelago hunting down a reasserted god after the events of the first game. The expanded scope and scale of the second game added in tons of new exploration, quests and challenges for players to deal with, and the game is tons of fun.
This latest expansion will finish up some loose story threads that involve powerful magic users and a lost maze of twisting halls. The expansion includes a new dungeon to conquer and some other changes to the game. Alongside this update, patch 4.0 will drop which adds new sub class choices and other new additions, like finally adding respawning ships.
The Forgotten Sanctum is the third downloadable expansion for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, planned for release on December 13th, 2018.
