Persona 5 Royal pre-orders suggest Western release

Persona 5 Rotal Confirmed

Persona 5 Royal has been in the works for a while, and Western gamers have wanted a release. New information hints that a Western release is coming, Persona 5 Royal is live for pre-orders on PlayStation Store Asia. This version includes subtitles for different languages. This has led to fans of the franchise hoping for a Western port.

The Traditional Chinese and Korean versions of Persona 5 Royal will come out on February 20, 2020, for the PlayStation 4. Pre-orders are now live on the PlayStation Store Asia and these games include Chinese and English subtitles. Localizations for different languages are sometimes sold on PlayStation Store Asia, like English, Chinese, Korean and more. These localizations are often limited to subtitles, but there’s a rumor running though the Persona community that this could be the case for Persona 5 Royal.

Persona 5 Royal was also recent rated the Australian Classification Board. This means that the publisher are intending for at least some kind of English release. This has not been confirmed, but it is one more piece of supporting evidence. Other Atlus titles also followed this trend too, so there’s a pretty strong chance.

Another strong indicator is that sales remain strong for the franchise. The original Persona 5 has surpassed 3.2 million copies in lifetime sales worldwide. This has led fans to believe that Atlus has a much higher vested interest in Western releases for one of their biggest franchises.
