It’s that time of the week again POE fans, as developer Grinding Gear Games has a bunch more news about their flagship ARPG to talk about. And it’s the same round up of new stuff that gamers have come to expect from the game, as GGG has introduced more cosmetic items to their game, bringing even more choices to the cash shop for players to spend their money on. Up this week is a pair of new cosmetic armor pieces and skills, starting off with a new darkly chaotic skill skin.
You can check out both new batches of content down below. First up is the Void Emperor set, a new batch of MTX effects coming to the POE cash shop. First up we get a glimpse of the new Void Emperor line, with a new skill skin for Mine-based attacks, it looks pretty badass. The new set of skill and weapon effects are of course joined by some rather sickly looking new armor sets, which can be seen below, that fit well with the Blight theme of the new league. Heck, even the Void Emperor name ties in pretty well with the Celestial theme of the previous headline set of cosmetics. You can also see a much brighter and livelier armor set with the addition of the Miracle Armor Set.
Sad news though if you’re a fan of loot boxes, these new microtransaction effects and skins will not be in the Carnival Mystery Box, so we will have to wait until the next round of MTX loot boxes to see these new Void Emperor effects being put up for grabs.
The company has a penchant for showing off concept art and other behind-the-scenes details for the various leagues and expansions that they develop, helping give their fans a small glimpse into what development on the game is like. This week, we can see a little tidbit about what the overall thought process was for the new Blight League.
