Path of Exile 3.7 animation changes teased

Path of Exile Legion

With the bevy of changes in Path of Exile 3.7 and the Legion expansion, players have a lot to digest. This week, GGG took to Twitter to release a new teaser trailer showing some animation changes they have on the docket in action. Path of Exile 3.7 will change the way animations are displayed so that longer range weapons have more noticeable animations. What this means is that longer range weapons will now have larger animations than short-range ones.

The animation change is a really welcome addition, especially for new players as it’s sometime unclear whether an attack actually hits a target.

Check this simple but effective change out down below.

Other animation changes pairing with this tweak include the ability to dodge attacks, and cancel out of animations at any given moment.  When combined with the sweeping melee alterations in POE 3.7, these changes are going to make combat in the ARPG very tactical, and lot less brainless. The older versions of Path of Exile had melee combat that could best be described as slow, especially at early levels. And even at the top end of skills and builds, melee in this game has often been a step behind in terms of power. And by layering in boss changes and other tweaks to the early game, leveling should be much more enjoyable now.

Path of Exile: Legion launches on June 7th. By the way, the console versions are due for PS4 and Xbox One on June 10th. If you want to learn more about this upcoming expansion, why not take a gander at the FAQ GGG released. Or maybe you’re interested in learning about the new Monolith items like the Incubators. There’s also the new Divination Cards the developer previously revealed. Whatever your fancy, GGG has plenty of coverage to offer.
