Path of Exile 3.10 has a few weeks left, and with the ongoing COVID-19 lockdowns and other disruptions, gaming has taken a serious hit. And with all the delays and cancellations going around, it was kind of inevitable for POE to feel the sting. So on the subject of the Path of Exile 3.11 release date, Grinding Gear Games has something to say.
In a new announcement, the developer has stepped up to reveal a few key dates coming next month. POE fans rejoice as we now know when the Path of Exile 3.11 release date is coming, and it’s quite soon.
According to the new teaser announcement, GGG has revealed that the new expansion will be revealed on June 2. Also, the Path of Exile 3.11 release date will be set for a tentative date of June 19 for PC and June 24 for console.. As the reveal puts it, the delays and lost development time pose some challenges. Multiple weeks have been lost for development with the country of New Zealand having been on a stringent lockdown for some time.
“It is very important to us that we release a high-quality expansion in June, and we will take the time to do this if we feel that we need an additional week or two. While we tried hard to achieve this within our regular 13 week schedule, development certainly has not been business-as-usual over the last few months.”
So GGG wants to put out great content, but the obvious peril should be stated in GGG’s own words, ” However, it’s extremely important to note that more so than any past expansion, it’s very possible this launch will be further delayed.”
And it’s safe to assume that as the PC version is the lead version, that June 11 release date will come a few days or weeks ahead of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of POE 3.11 for good reason. This is due to the added time to pass certification for console versions of the game.
