Owlcat Games releases new trailer for Pathfinder: Kingmaker

Pathfinder Kingmaker

Owlcat Games have shared a new trailer for Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The game will include a massive spellcasting system with over 1000 unique spells. There’s also a fully fleshed out reputation system that will play into how quests and other interactions work in Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is is currently in development for Windows PC, Mac, and Linux. You can pre-order the game in a variety of backer tiers over on its official website.

Members of Owlcat Games have worked on Evil Islands, Silent Storm, and Heroes of Might & Magic V back at Nival Entertainment. So don’t worry if you’re concerned about a the dev messing up the core ideas behind an RPG. There’s a lot of commonality here with other games like Pillars of Eternity, so fans of that might want to check this game out too.

Check out the trailer below, as well as a blurb with the details of the game:

The game is being developed by a team of industry veterans, with a dozen years of experience (Etherlods, Silent Storm, Heroes of Might&Magic V, Skyforge) and love for pen and paper role-playing games. Assisting the story is narrative designer Chris Avellone, who previously worked on Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Divinity: Original Sin II, and many other well-known titles. To ensure that the Pathfinder universe is carefully transferred into a video game, the development team also works in close partnership and under the supervision of Paizo, the creators of the franchise.
