Overcooked 2 launches holiday update, complete with Christmas Crackers
Team 17 and Ghost Town Games are releasing a free Christmas update to Overcooked 2, titled Kevin’s Christmas Cracker, we’re getting deep into some icy fun with this free update to their excellent co-op game.
Ghost Town Games managed a real treat with this latest game. Overcooked 2 is an amazing title that mixes cooking and puzzle-solving with plenty of frustrating nonsense that can destroy friendships in the blink of an eye. As you and your friends try to cook a wide array of dishes for needy customers, you’ll have to manage all sorts of weirdly engaging shenanigans. From having to avoid falling into frozen lakes to having to deal with hordes of zombies, Overcooked 2 really wants to test your culinary limits.
And with the launch of this latest update, the game is getting even more new content to push said limits even further. Players can get access to a variety of snowy maps stuffed with holiday cheer. There’s also two new chef characters players can have fun with, an elf and a snowman join the cast of strange characters in this culinary land. And if you want to take these new friends for a spin, the update also drops in new recipes in the form of Christmas pudding, mince pies, and hot chocolate.
If you happen to be a bit grumpy this year, don’t worry, as not everything in Kevin’s Christmas Cracker is themed after the holiday season. New gameplay modes like a 2v2 multiplayer option add to the challenge when playing with friends. And if you want to sharpen your chef skills, the game is also getting a new practice mode with no score constraints.
This new event will arrive as part of a free game update, available for free for all users. Check out a trailer for the update down below.
