NVIDIA GeForce 442.01 Hotfix Driver patches Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & The Witcher 3 issues

Nvidia GPU

The NVIDIA GeForce 442.01 Hotfix patch is here. So if you’re a user that was having some minor issues with the recent WHQL drivers, there may be a fix in store for you. It’s a pretty small update, with it being an optional and small bug fix update at it’s core.

There are some issues that have been ongoing for some time with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & The Witcher 3 that involved problems with rendering different things. In specific terms, there were issues with cutscenes in The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine DLC that caused instability. Also, some users reported issues in streaming and capture software on the newer GPU drivers, those should be fixed.

NVIDIA has been doing a pretty good job recently. The company just announced a new series of the first ever 360Hz gaming monitors at CES 2020, which is pretty cool. The tech company also claims that their new Ampere GPU architecture is much more powerful than Turing, giving them a potential edge on rival AMD.

You can download this new hotfix driver from here. Again, if you’re not experiencing the following issues, you can simply ignore this new driver. It’s truly an optional driver update as NVIDIA is just pushing it to deal with some major issues for very specific users.
