NVIDIA GeForce 419.35 WHQL driver improves performance on DMC 5, The Division 2

Nvidia GPU

NVIDIA GeForce 419.35 is out, bringing Game Ready performance to a handful of newer games. Apex Legends, Devil May Cry 5, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 are all getting slighty improved performance with this patch.

The focus of this driver update seems to primarily be on updating existing code and support for certain hardware, with the aim of improving performance in certain titles. There’s support for new CUDA tech built into this update alongside other backend updates.

On the hardware side of things, there’s mostly support for a new batch of G-SYNC monitors.  these include the BenQ XL2540-B/ZOWIE XL LCD, Acer XF250Q and Acer ED273 A. Nvidia’s G-SYNC tech allows higher refresh rate monitors to eliminate screentearing by actively adapting to various rendering conditions and framerates. If you have the ability to use this technology, it largely eliminates the need for other solutions like Vertical synchronization or Vsync.

The drivers also include some bug fixes for a variety of games like Hitman 2, Apex Legends, and more. Most of these fixes are centered around dealing with display issues like flickering.
