In a new trailer for the game, which can be seen below, Rebellion wants to give you a few reasons to pick up this remastered sniper sim. It’s fittingly called “7 Reasons to Upgrade.”
The game features, of course, all brand new visuals thanks to the full revamp with 4K texture work and HDR support. And anyone on any of the platforms that support this, console or PC, will have access to this and much more. There’s a ton more visual and technical improvements as well. The developers have tweaked nearly every aspect of the game, from level design and geometry, to the improved lighting and post-processing effects. Multiple small technical enhancements should help performance in some scenes too. So if you’re looking to blast Hitler in the balls in never-before-scene style, this is the game for you.
In terms of gameplay, there’s a fair bit on offer too with this remaster. The big new draw is multiplayer, which includes a total of seven new modes to have some explosive fun in, including Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. Players can even take photos of their cool shots and kills in the new photo mode that has been brought forward from other games in the franchise. The final major new addition on this front is the mountain of included DLC. All of the mission and weapon DLC that was released for the original game is included in the package, all with the new visual style applied.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will release on May 14 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
