The latest piece of DLC content for Shadow of the Tomb Raider is out now, and it’s an interesting one. The new DLC, titled The Price of Survival, is all about new gear and even more puzzle-solving fun.
The Price of Survival includes new gear options, namely the new Trinity-themed Hunter’s Array outfit, which improves Lara’s stealth abilities in a few new ways. She’ll be even more deadly with this getup on. And of course, there’s a new Challenge Tomb for players to overcome to earn that reward. Just like previous DLC outings, expect traps, platforming puzzles and tough enemies to stand in your way.
Lara will be taking on the reclusive Trinity leader, who’s backed up by a cadre of elite Patitian soldiers. Your task is to steal a series of coded documents in order to gain intel on the movements and dealings of the dangerous organization, and it won’t be an easy task.
If you don’t have the Season Pass, you can grab it now, and get access to all of the new DLC packs and more for one low price. If you want to buy The Price of Survival on its own, that will run you $4.99. The Season Pass costs $30, or the regional equivalent. So if you want to get your hands on all of that treasured DLC, the Season Pass is your best bet.
What’s in the season pass you ask? It includes The Price of Survival, as well as all previous DLC packs. That means The Forge, the trap-filled maze from a while back is in there. There’s also The Pillar, which introduced another Challenge Tomb and more gear customization options. Then there’s The Nightmare, a horror-themed DLC pack which included another Tomb, more enemy types and even more unlockable gear options.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider launched for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One back in September 2018, and continues to get decent buzz and got some positive reviews. All in all, Square Enix put in a really good effort that did good things for the legacy of Lara Croft.
