New Pokémon Snap shows off the Lental Region

New Pokémon Snap releases for Nintendo Switch soon

New Pokémon Snap was announced a few weeks ago, and since then, the N64 spin-off franchise has ignited tons of potential for fun. The original Pokémon Snap came out in 1999 for the N64, setting of a wealth of tie-in games to the most popular game franchise ever. In that time, there has been a cult following of fans that have been hoping to get more of the series since then. in the 20 years since then, gamers have finally gotten their wish.

The new version of the game will include the basic premise of the first game. The player is a photographer working on cataloging Pokémon through various regions of an expansive map. Each of the regions shown on the map also has a distinct theme a specific roster of monsters that spawn. Players use the tools at their disposal to track and photograph the various monsters in the zones they trek through.

For Pokemon fans out there who have never experienced the original Pokemon Snap, it’s all about using the extensive photo mode to capture some fantastic shots. Lure Pokemon out with bait and catch them in flattering (or unflattering) poses. Players can complete quests and attempt to spot some of the harder-to-find Pokemon in each level, which usually requires some strategic thinking and Pokemon know-how.

Snap, edit, and share photos of wild Pokemon in-game, only for Nintendo Switch. New Pokémon Snap will be available on Nintendo Switch on April 30, 2021. When it does come out, you’re going to get back out there and explore a bunch of new generations of New Pokémon Snap as you explore the unveiled Lental Region.
