Sony has announced the next batch of free games for PlayStation Plus. Giving away games to get users into the PlayStation fold is something that Sony has done for a while. The new games for PlayStation Plus November 2020 include both PS5 and PS4 titles for the first time. So if you’re booting up that shiny new PS5, why not check it out. Let’s talk about what games are being added. This a good mix of games, so let’s talk about it.
The first PlayStation 5 game to join PlayStation Plus is the new cutesy title Bugsnax. Coming to us from the minds of quirky developer Young Horses. This is the same studio from Octodad, so you know it’s going to be weird and entertaining. Bugsnax is all about cute bugs that are also snacks, as the name implies. You adventure around Snaktooth Island looking at the more than 100 Bugsnax to catalog for the sake of science.
Then comes the PS4 titles. Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition is a pretty interesting, and very solid, choice. Return to the world of Hollownest on another quest. With incredible art, you really feel like you’re in this depressingly moody world. The player fights their way through a horde of various unique enemies through various interesting side-scrolling levels. The Voidheart Edition includes multiple DLC packs, with four in total, and all the base content for the game.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is the much more deep sequel to the first Middle-earth game, Shadow of Mordor. Once again done by Monolith, the game brings in a more fleshed-out Nemesis system, a new storyline and more. It was very well-received, even in the controversy surrounding loot boxes kind of dinged it pretty bad. The gameplay was as solid as ever, with a new fortress mechanic really selling the war elements as Talion tries to fight back against the Orcs.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition will be available on November 3, 2020, while Bugsnax will be available on November 12, 2020.
