New Gundam Breaker launches June 21, releases new gameplay trailer
New Gundam Breaker is the fourth game in the Gundam Breaker series, but it’s the first one that’ll be released outside of Japan, and the first to be made available on PC. The game launches in Japan on June 21 and the international release will follow on June 22.
Gundam Breaker is a franchise all about smashing up gunpla(Gundam Plastic models) in realtime musou battles. As you blast through legions of enemy robots, you’ll salvage parts and new addons for your mechs. New Gundam Breaker also a has a deep and detailed customization aspect with hundreds of color and part choices, so players can craft a Gundam completely unique to them. Bandai Namco are also focused on adding plenty of choices for base Suits so that players don’t complain about too few overall designs.
In a particularly unique style, battles don’t take place in space or on alien planets, but instead on living room floor or on the kitchen counter. It’s these nice little thematic choices that really help sell the notion of gunpla battles in-game. But don’t worry if you wanted more classic battle environments, because those are in the game too.
The game has a heavy emphasis on 3v3 co-op battles as well. Teaming up with your friends will be a big part of building your gunpla collection, mostly through conquest.
You can check out more of this action in the gameplay trailer for New Gundam Breaker below.
