New God of War trailer takes a look back at the trials of Kratos

God of War - Memories of Mother Trailer

Sony Santa Monica really hit it out of the park with God of War on the PS4. In addition to crafting one of the best games the franchise, and arguably the PS4 platform as a whole, has ever seen, the latest journey of Kratos and his son Atreus  is a really emotional one. As this godly pair journey across Norse realms and myth, they encounter many different challenges and enemies, and grow a bit along the way. This new trailer for the game takes a look back at the journey for a helpful bit of reflection.

The trailer is titled “Memories of Mother” and features lots of little nods to key moments throughout the story, as well as showing the viewer glimpses of the beautiful game world. And of course, there’s some really amazing music in there too. It’s a nice little send-off for a great game.

But Sony isn’t done yet handing out holiday gifts and treats to fans. The trailer also serves to announce a new commemorative print being made for the game.

The print itself is $40 and is 18′ x 24′. And hurry, it’s only for sale until December 23rd. You can grab a copy of this high-quality holiday-themed art right now.

Here’s the official description of said print:

We are thrilled to announce our next officially licensed print with Santa Monica Studios. Based off God of War the print is titled “Freya’s Dinner” and was done by Poster Posse Illustrator, Adam Rabalais. The print brings Kratos, Atreus and the rest of the God of War characters together for a holiday dinner that no one thought could ever happen

Check out the latest trailer for God of War down below. God of War released on the PS4 in March 2018, and garnered a swath of stellar reviews and praise right from the outset. The game even went on to win the Game of Year award for 2018. A well-deserved bit of praise if you ask me.
