Watch the chaotic new gameplay trailer for World War 3

World War 3 Gameplay

World War 3 has begun, and no, Donald Trump isn’t losing his mind on Twitter again.

Instead, I’m talking about the upcoming shooter from The Farm 51. World War 3 got some new gameplay footage at Gamescom 2018 this week, so let’s dig in.

The modern military FPS focuses heavily on the action, borrowing a lot of thematic and gameplay elements from games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The Farm 51 is a Polish dev team most known for their work on Painkiller: Hell and Damnation. And while their previous games won’t have a huge influence on the development work on World War 3, it looks like the game is in good hands nonetheless.

The game puts a big focus on multiplayer gaming with a combined progress mode where every match has an impact on the overall war.

World War 3 is a multiplayer military FPS set in a modern, global conflict. Strong teamplay, national armed forces, real locations, full body awareness, and a versatile customization system all contribute to the authenticity of the modern combat experience enhanced by other essential elements such as a robust ballistic system, advanced armors and life-like weapons. Produced in cooperation with military R&D centers and consultants, World War 3 shows the consequences of every battle in the context of a global war campaign on a strategic war map.

And like other modern military shooters, all the explodey bells and whistles are here. World War 3 has vast and expansive maps with large teams battling over strategic positions. Both teams will have access to a variety of weapons and vehicles with which to wage war. The game will also feature a full-fledged cover and bullet penetration system which will serve to make battles feel more tense and alive.

World War 3 launches into battle on Steam Early Access later this year. Check out the alpha gameplay footage down below. You can also learn more about the game at the official website.
