New Dragon Ball Z Kakarot trailer shows off more combat and new characters

New Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Story Trailer

With a new trailer, Bandai Namco has a bit more to tease fans with ahead of the launch of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. The RPG comes out later this month, but that nearing release date hasn’t slowed down the hype train at all. The trailer showcases an overview of the game, including a look at many familiar characters of the series, both heroes and villains.

Aside from the iconic roster of fighters, players also see some new gameplay and story elements. The combat is crisp and fun, looks like the lessons of the Xenoverse games have been learned well. The story even follows the arcs and style of the anime, complete with the cheesy narrator fans know and love that caps off each episode. Gamers will also be able to take part in various mini-games like fishing to whittle away some time.

This new trailer joins the horde of other footage showed off for the new RPG. The game is running through all the major arcs of the anime property, so there’s a ton of content. You can check out the trailer below.

This new trailer has plenty of combat to show off in addition to all of the story content. We see combos and other elements that we’ve seen before. Although the amount of polish and smoothness of the combat itself is rather impressive. As players venture through the Dragon Ball world and story, they will encounter all of the iconic battles from the anime. Players can expect to make their way all the way through DBZ and the Majin Buu arc in-game though fighting the various enemies. Of course you will primarily take on the role of Kakarot, but plenty of other characters are also in the game. Aside from Son Goku, other characters like Piccolo and Future Trunks will also get their time in the sun. Of course, exceedingly emotional moments like Majin Vegeta‘s entire arc are also in the game and playable.
