Nintendo has released a new overview gameplay trailer for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The new trailer showcases a sort of intro to the quest Toad has undertaken to recover the stolen Power Star. The video shows some off of the puzzles that players will face and how they can rotate the camera to seek out different secrets and paths to track down the Power Star hidden in every course.
The interesting mixture of perspective and puzzle-solving combined with cutesy visuals makes Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker a unique and entertaining outing. The Switch and 3DS versions share some common elements with the previous Wii U version, but there’s some great new additions that can be enjoyed.
First and foremost, the Switch version features full local co-op unlike the Wii U port. There’s also a whole bunch of new areas and modes that are unique to the Switch version. All in all, the Switch is a more substantial port from the Wii U, although some reviewers are complaining about quirks with controls in the co-op being a negative. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker still sounds like a fun game nonetheless.
