“Nearly 3 million players” on Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s PC launch

So the launch of Halo on PC once again has been a smashing success with the debut of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC. first sales data for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which included the new release of Halo Reach, a remastered version of Bungie’s Xbox 360 first-person shooter. The new version rolls in all the improvements in graphics and gameplay, but also the new post-season content launch structure.

According to Microsoft, “nearly 3 million players” jump onto The Master Chief Collection for PC and Xbox One “during launch week” of Halo Reach, and this made for “a monumental launch (…) thanks to the amazing Halo community as well as a host of all-new players experiencing the Halo universe for the very first time.”

The company went on to point out that Halo: Reach was the most-watched game on Twitch during said launch day. The new game collection was also billed as the top-selling game on Steam during launch week and the highest-ranking debut for an Xbox Game Studios title on Steam. Both pretty impressive milestones to hit for a remake of an older game. We already knew that Halo: The Master Chief Collection already pushed a million units on Steam, which is awesome.

Tens of thousands of fans have posted comments, memes and a ton of other stuff online, praising the new release, and adding to the hype that Microsoft is feeling in response to this launch. This includes a huge amount of positive reviews on Steam.
