In just a couple of months, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will land on store shelves, and players will get to experience what the unique mixture of real-time stealth and exploration combined with turn-based tactical combat will feel like.
I must say, the game looks amazing, and the gameplay adds a new element to the overall narrative. As you venture out into the Zone gathering supplies for the last bastion of safety in this mutated world, the Ark, you’ll encounter all manner of challenges, all of which must be overcome through real-time stealth or other means. Each of your team members has their own skills to help specialize and solve different problems. You can even improve your skills and equipment throughout the course of the game.
We also get to see more of the game world, including the Ark, as the developers show us just how desperate circumstances really are.
The game takes XCOM-style tactics and blends that with real-time exploration to create an intriguing and unique mix on the genre.
