Funcom released some more footage of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden over the weekend, this time we see how gameplay has been polished over the last few months of development.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a tactical adventure game that blends turn-based combat with free-form, real-time exploration. And it’s this framework that we see in action in the newest gameplay snippet. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden plays a fair bit like the newer XCOM games, but with plenty of unique differences.
Lead Designer Lee Varley and Producer Mark Parker help walk the audience through the gameplay they’re seeing, introducing some new characters along the way, and helping build out the world this game will take place in. Selma, Bormin, and Dux are on the way to the ominous-sounding House of Bones, but there will be lots of hostile and environmental obstacles in their way. One such example we see in the gameplay below is a group of vicious ghouls that block progress for the player.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will be launching on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 4. Check out the newest gameplay footage of the game down below.
