Mortal Shell: Rotten Autumn is the new addon event to the adventure game. The developers have noted that fans seemed to love the game since launch, and it looks like the game will be going strong into the holidays of 2020. The goal of this new event appears to be getting some real scares in on the player.
For a free event update, it’s pretty good. Mortal Shell: Rotten Autumn is an entirely free update to all users across all platforms. It’s out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
So let’s talk about what Mortal Shell: Rotten Autumn adds to the game. The focus here is on new items nd challenges for players to overcome. Shells are getting a fresh coat of bloody paint with ten unique Shell shaded being added. There’s also a new mini-quest centered on the rather terrifying Gorf, and an alternative boss fight soundtrack from Rotting Christ.
And that’s not all that we’re getting. Mortal Shell has a pretty grotesque world, and it’s kind of a shame that the game doesn’t have a photo mode or other features so that you can capture the sights you see throughout the game. That’s changing with this update, as players finally get a photo mode. And there’s even more good news. Cold Symmetry has announced that Mortal Shell will be coming to Steam next year. You PC gamers can rest easy with an easier to manage game library.
