Mortal Kombat 11 getting Rambo, and is coming to next-gen

Rambo is coming to MK 11

The next DLC pack for Mortal Kombat 11 has been announced, And the new Kombat Pack 2 is getting three new characters into the fight. Mortal Kombat 11 is getting three new fighters, and one of them is Sylvester Stallone himself as Rambo. Yes, that’s a pretty strange crossover, and it doesn’t really make sense.

Although more than a few fans and outlets feel like the inclusion of Rambo is a bit weird, it does kind of make sense. The MK franchise has long been associated with tons of over-the-top nonsense, and the films and games are pretty much reliant on it. There are some that feel like Rambo isn’t a good fit, but I would point out that Terminators are already in the game as well. Adding another 80’s icon to the mix isn’t a big deal. With the already-existing crossovers for Spawn and more as well.

The fans are getting some long-requested roster additions. Mileena is finally here, for one thing. The fighter has been a fixture in other games, and has often had a pretty interesting story on the side of evil. NetherRealm has been trying to slowly expand the roster and the depth of the story, so it’s pretty good to see these new elements being added. Kombat Pack 2 also adds Rain, a new ninja that joins the ever-expanding roster of badass ninja in the fighting game.

And just for a bit sweeter news, NetherRealm has also announced that the game will in fact be ported to the next-gen consoles in the future. The next-gen version of Mortal Kombat 11 will feature various visual improvements, “significantly-improved” load times, and 4k support for resolution. Those who already own the game on current platforms can claim the new game for free as an update.
