Mortal Kombat 11 announces new fighter, Elder God Cetrion

Mortal Kombat 11 Story and Gameplay Trailers

The roster for the upcoming fighting game, Mortal Kombat 11, has exploded over the last few months. There’s of course been many of the iconic characters and fan-favorites making their way back into the brutal and bloody ring, like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Jax, and of course dozens more. And now, we’ve got another completely new fighter to add to the pile. The extremely deadly Elder God Cetrion is stepping to put things right, and it’s going to get very bloody indeed before her job is done.

Game Informer got the scoop in the form of a new trailer showing the ultra-powerful combatant in action. That trailer can be seen down below.

Cetrion is absolutely someone you don’t want to mess with, and certainly don’t make them mad, because that is how you get your heart torn out. Or in the case of what we see of her Fatality in the trailer, get cooked with godly energy, poor Jade.

The roster for this game is just getting silly at this point, and of course there are plenty more to come. Another trailer revealed recently showed the deadly comeback of the Mayan terror, Kotal Kahn. The most recent on both revealed the return of secret character Noob Saibot, and the return of Shang Tsung as a DLC fighter.

This game is setting up to be a major player in the FGC, and will likely land on many gift request lists in 2019. Summer breaks are going to feature a lot of fatalities as players grapple with all of these new fighters and the complex story mode. Since Mortal Kombat 11‘s surprise reveal trailer during The Game Awards in December 2018, NetherRealm has been pumping out plenty of content and trailers promoting the game. Many beloved mechanics are coming back, and of course many fighters are too. And then there’s the wobbly ball of time nonsense that is the story mode, which is sure to amp up some fans too.

Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
