Mortal Kombat 11 announces another new fighter, The Kollector
Once again, we’re back with another new addition to the roster of the upcoming fighting game, Mortal Kombat 11.
This new addition is the six-armed enforcer of Outworld’s massive empire, this particular thief is much more dangerous than his already intimidating appearance implies. He has spent years consolidating stolen wealth into considerable power. But despite all of these ill-gotten gains, he has spent years on the run, before being captured. Now, he seeks to escape justice by any means necessary. Of course that mostly means ripping enemies to pieces in fist fights.
The Kollector has quite an interesting backstory, as he’s a completely new entry into the franchise. Publisher Warner Bros. Entertainment has provided the following insights into the backdrop of this particular fighter:
A new fighter joining the Mortal Kombat franchise, The Kollector was born into poverty and seized his collections duty with a zeal that impressed Shao Kahn, becoming one of the Emperor’s most feared associates. As more of a corrupt, mafia enforcer than a government official, The Kollector stole riches from Outworld’s people, rewarding himself with wealth and status in turn, but when Shao Kahn died, Kotal Kahn vowed to weed out the former regime’s corruption. After years in hiding, living off his ill-gotten gains, The Kollector was captured and now faces execution, determined to destroy anyone in his path.
The Kollector will probably play a pretty important role in this new game, to see more of that story, check out this other trailer. The Kollector joins the Elder God Cetrion as the most recent roster entry that has been announced.
You can check out this new roster addition in the trailer down below. Mortal Kombat 11 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on April 23.
