Monster Hunter World drops monster of a patch on PC and consoles

Shake it Out - Florence And The Machine

Title Update 2 has now been released on all platforms for Monster Hunter World, and it’s a big one. Capcom has gone all out on bug fixes, balance changes and quest updates with this patch.

On PC, the Autumn Harvest events went live with this patch, but that’s not all that’s new. Nearly every weapon in the game has been modified in some way, mostly focusing on balance and bug fixes. Dozens of other general bug fixes for the PC version are included in this update as well.

In terms of other quests, the various Arch-Tempered elder dragon quests have had their drop rates for some items buffed, the same applies to Tempered Deviljho rewards.

For the console, that’s both Xbox One and PS4, versions 5.10 on PS4 (310MB) and 5.1.0.0 for Xbox One (330MB) both dropped yesterday.

Patches for both console versions fix a Kulve Taroth pursuit exploit, and adjust some similar questlines and rewards, as well as bring on plenty of bug fixes.

You can find the rather extensive patch notes for the PC and console releases of MHW 5.10 down below. Be warned, there’s a lot of stuff down there.

Monster Hunter World PS4 and Xbox One – 5.10, 5.1.0.0 patch notes

Warped Feystones

Drop rates for Warped Feystones have been increased in the Tempered Deviljho and Arch-Tempered elder dragon quests.

Relevant Quests:

These reward rules will also be applied to any future quests with Arch-tempered elder dragons from update version 5.10 onwards.

Kulve Taroth pursuit exploit

Fixed an exploit that would allow you to retain a pursuit level in the Kulve Taroth Siege by intentionally disconnecting, by making it so you cannot post or join another quest for the same Kulve Taroth after claiming rewards once.

If you cannot post or join a Kulve Taroth quest, you must either wait until the other players in the session have repelled the Kulve Taroth, or move to a different session. Then you will be able to post or join quests for a new Kulve Taroth.

Elder Melder item order

The order of melding ingredients at the Elder Melder has been resorted according to the same sorting method used for items. In previous updates, new items were added to the end of the ingredient list, but now new additions will now follow this new sorting method. No items have been removed from the current ingredient list.
