The new Monster Hunter Rise Day 1 patch is out, fixing some minor bugs and issues. The patch also enables certain features. Here’s what we know about the patch. Nintendo and Capcom have been working hard to get the game to a stellar state so it would be a shame not to get the game at its best.
You need to download this update to play online. To use DLC and play online, you need to update Monster Hunter Rise to the latest version. Once you boot the console and connect it to WiFi, the game should download the update in the background. That makes this pretty easy to handle. It’s also a relatively small patch, so it wouldn’t take too long to get.
Monster Hunter Rise Day 1 Patch Notes and Bug Fixes
The patch is somewhere around 600 MB, and there aren’t too many serious changes. Here’s what the official patch notes reveal:
- Access to the content from the Deluxe Kit, as well as the add-on content from pre-order bonuses and amiibo bonuses.
- Miscellaneous bug fixes have been made.
No real details, great. That makes it much harder to guess what Capcom has fixed. The Deluxe Edition content being enabled does clue us into some new stuff being added. Various exclusive pre-order bonuses and Amiibo should work in the game now. That means that the following layered armor sets should work in the game after the patch:
- Palamute Retriever Costume layered armor
- Palico Forest Cat Costume layered armor
- Novice Talisman for some extra assistance in the early stages
Players that participated in the demo for the new Switch title get some special rewards. Regardless of how far you got, if you played the demo, you get the following items:
- 20 Mega Potions
- five Pitfall Traps
- 10 Energy Drinks
- five Mega Demon Drugs
- five Mega Armorskins
