Marvel’s Avengers game from Square Enix coming to E3 2019

Avengers

Square Enix is in fact coming to E3 2019, and the company has also revealed one of the major titles they will be announcing. That title is a new collaboration with Marvel on the Avengers property. The reveal will happen during their main presser at E3 on June 10th, so keep an eye out for that.

Geoff Keighley, legendary games journalist broke the news earlier today, revealing just a simple teaser for the new game. not much else to be gained though, just the teams involved and the date when the reveal will happen.

And with the explosive launch of the Russo-led Avenger’s Endgame this past month gamers are looking for more Marvel content to consume. The newest Avengers film has so far grossed more than $2.6 billion on a budget of roughly $350 million, so it makes sense that games tying into that monster success would happen.

We don’t know anything beyond the teaser revealing that Crystal Dynamics and  EIDOS Montreal are somehow involved. Possibly those are the development teams while Square Enix is publishing. The current speculation suggests that the project will be aimed at the next-gen Xbox and the PS5 and would land in 2020. Although take that with a grain of salt as none of this is currently confirmed.

In other news, Square Enix will also share more details about Final Fantasy 7 Remake at this same press conference, so you’ll want to tune in when it happens on June 10th at 6PM ET.
