Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC has a not-so-sleepy trailer

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind

Square Enix has announced some new details about the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC. Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind will arrive on Jan. 23 on the PlayStation 4 first, and a month later on Feb. 25 for Xbox One. They also dropped a trailer detailing some of the story elements. The new DLC pack will rehash stories and characters both new and old. Square Enix has kept these details a bit under wraps though. With Jump Festa coming soon though, fans of the Disney-infused JRPG can expect a ton more news about this DLC, as well as other Square Enix projects.

Some details about the new story content have been found out though. Some old characters from previous games, like Leon will be coming back. The DLC will also feature sections of playable Kairi and Ventus. The story itself actually features yet another trip back in time. We will see Sora traveling to lost locales looking for some secret source of power.

And of course, as we saw in other coverage for Remind, Square Enix will also include  new content where you will“challenge yourself to new boss battles, master Sora’s new form, learn more about the members of Organization XIII, and more.” We also know that Aqua, Roxas, and Riku will feature in this new content too.

Here’s how the development team describes the story of this new DLC:

“Re Mind — the other tale that unfolded during the climax of Kingdom Hearts III. Determined to rescue Kairi, Sora travels to the Keyblade Graveyard a short time before the final battle was to take place. Lacking a bodily form, he traces the hearts of the seven guardians of light. Through experiencing their battles firsthand, Sora is about to discover truths that he has never before imagined.”
