Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be available for free on Epic Games Store next week

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Those of us who have been relying on Epic Games Store to get free PC games, have some new goodies coming next week. Every week Epic has been plugging their game platform, the Epic Games Store, by giving away batches of free games. There have been dozens of games given away in this manner, and PC gamers would be foolish not to take the opportunity. That strategy has clearly worked as Epic has earned a huge sum of money from their efforts over the course of 2019.

Now we know what game is coming next week as Warhorse Studios has stepped up to offer their game to the chopping block. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a realistic open-world simulation of a small slice of medieval Europe. By restricting the scale of the game down to a realistic portion of 14th-century Czechoslovakia, the developer managed to create an extremely immersive simulation of a heroic story in a tumultuous time of European history. The game features a semi-realistic simulation of sword fighting and travel in that time period, helping to immerse the player. There are also tons of different quests to undertake, giving the player plenty to do.

Warhorse also released a batch of modding tools to allow gamers to alter the core files, scripts, and assets of the base game on PC. If you’re looking for an RPG to sink hundreds of hours into, this may be just the ticket.

This week, Epic Games is giving away Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride. Previously the company was also giving away Pandemic, but the disease-spreading cooperative game was pulled during the panic surrounding the Wuhan Coronavirus.
