Katamari Damacy has been remastered in HD and is coming to the Nintendo Switch as Katamari Damacy Reroll. Nintendo announced the new version for their portable console during the Nintendo Direct livestream that took place earlier today.
The original Katamari Damacy was an instant niche hit on the PS2 in 2004. I remember enjoying the weird concept and puzzle-solving elements quite a bit back then, so it’s nice to see the series getting a new lease on life on a new platform.
The game will include fully integrated motion and gyroscopic controls, as well as a suite of features involving the Joy-Con. There’s also multiplayer support in this version. And since this is a remaster, expect some really sleek new visuals too.
Katamari Damacy Reroll will land on the Switch later this year. Check out the trailer for the game down below.
