Jump Force throws out more footage of Goku, Vegeta and Frieza

JUMP FORCE Super Saiyan Blue and Golden Frieza Gameplay

If you’ve ever wanted to feel the true power of the Saiyan race, now is your best chance with Jump Force. Bandai Namco just unleashed a devestating new gameplay trailer for the fighting game which pits iconic heroes Vegeta and Goku against one of their old enemies, returned anew to wreak havoc.

We see some new gameplay footage of Jump Force in this trailer. The video itself focuses on an ongoing brawl between these three strong fighters, and they’re pulling out all of the stops. Goku and Vegeta both jump straight in at full power in the SSGSS forms, unleashing their most powerful attacks. We see both Big Bang Attack and Kamehameha unleashed in short order. And even then, Frieza just keeps on coming back for more. Frieza even lets loose with a suped-up version of his Supernova to finish the fight.

I must way, this game looks incredible. The lighting, shaders and particle effects make the game really pop visually. From what I’ve seen of gameplay, this looks like the actual fighting plays somewhat similarly to the Dragonball Xenoverse games, which is OK for me, but might alienate some fans looking for a different style of fighter.

For those that were unaware, Golden Frieza is the ultimate form of Frieza’s race. Frieza attains the form in Dragon Ball Super Resurrection F, after spending some time actually training to build up his power. Yes, for those that didn’t know, Frieza’s race is so casually powerful that even without training they have the capability to rival a Super Saiyan. And after training for just a short time in Dragon Ball Super Resurrection F, it takes the combined might of Goku and Vegeta in the “Super Saiyan Blue” forms to bring Frieza down. It’s quite an interesting fight, and it will be great to see it rendered in game form in Jump Force.

These versions of the iconic anime characters put the total list of playable characters at an amazing 24. Jump Force also includes a bunch of non-playable characters that you’ll either need to team up with, or do battle against in order to progress the story. And just for the sake of putting it in, here’s a rundown of all of the playable characters in the game so far, as well as their source material:
