Jump Force Adding Majin Buu from Dragon Ball Z

Jump Force Adding Majin Buu

Jump Force, the massive crossover fighting game from Bandai Namco featured a huge cast of characters from various anime and manga properties. It pulled characters from across the spectrum, from campy joke characters, to serious big-boy fighters like Goku. And because fighting game rosters always have to expand, that’s a rule you can quote me on that, Bandai Namco has just announced the next wave of DLC for the title.

This time, we’re getting the jovial and somewhat creepily candy-obsessed Majin Buu. We don’t have a release date yet, just a simple teaser, but fans of both the character and Jump Force are pretty excited.

The story was a pretty commonplace trope, even within the realm of DBZ, as various villains from across the universe of manga and anime had converged to try and take over time, or something. And of course, all of the good guys had to band together to stop them. So it makes sense that the justification for new DLC fighters is that additional tears in the cartoon reality would bring new players in. And what better choice than the galaxy-annihilating Majin Buu.

I mean come on, Goku, Vegeta, Freiza, Trunks, Piccolo, and Cell are all already in the roster, so why not add one of the more lighthearted villains to the game. In terms of other DLC characters; there’s plenty to choose from, like Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh!. The roster also contains characters from Bleach, Black Clover, JoJo and so many more properties.

My Hero Academia‘s Bakugo will also be joining the roster in this wave, so get used to seeing that ball of fun as well.

Jump Force is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
