The launch of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has begun. So far, players are enjoying the game a ton. There’s a lot of players really getting wrekt by the combination of on-point humor and engaging gameplay. The game is really firing on all cylinders. Tina is running a TTRPG campaign, and it’s great. You will really want to get in on this. Players adventure around the various zones, shooting anything that moves. Mostly while Tina yells at you in her characteristic snarky way. So that sounds great, but there’s a problem.
The game also is only on the Epic Games Store. That platform is flat-out terrible. Gamers have complained about the lack of features for months now, and Epic seems not to care. It could be months before it lands on Steam, so we’re stuck with EGS for now. But what about the rest of us? Some players don’t have a solid gaming PC, so they have to rely on consoles.
The console launch has been focused on current-gen consoles. So that means that the game is mostly locked to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Players will so far only have those options. 2K has supported the Nintendo Switch with multiple launces. Borderlands 1, 2, and the Pre-Sequel, and even the BioShock Collection, and XCOM Collection came out on it over the years.
But that seems not to be the plan for this game. As of the time of writing, the publisher hasn’t announced any plans for a Switch port of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Maybe the new game has too many visual effects or large areas to handle on the Switch. The portable console has a lot of problems with performance, so maybe Gearbox has dropped plans to push it to the Switch.
There are plenty of other things to learn about this game. This game uses emotes to both show-off, and to facilitate communication between players. And with the photo mode in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, they have a bit more utility there as well. And since it’s an RPG, there’s a mountain of loot to manage. You will want to check out the free SHiFT Codes list for free in-game rewards. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
