The Fallout 76 Wastelanders update has launched, bringing a full cast of NPCs to the game. The launch of the anticipated content was a little delayed, but it’s finally here. The new update has a bunch of content that expands the original game, helping to offset some of the negative press from that terrible launch.
You will need to own a copy of Fallout 76 to play the new Wastelanders content. Fallout 76 Wastelanders is a free update so you won’t have to pay for that content at least. But, you will need to pay for the base game to get access. This one purchase will unlock all of the content the game has to offer. So if you’re worried about having to buy multiple expansions or anything, don’t.
Fallout 76 is available to buy on PC — via Steam or the Bethesda.net Launcher — as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The main game has been out for some time, but the price of the content has been increased since that disaster of a launch. The current price, excluding any sales for Fallout 76 is set at $39.99. Use the site isthereanydeal.com to look for any deals on the game if you’re interested.
Fallout 76 had been available for free on Steam as well if you decided to link your Steam and Bethesda.net accounts together. This offer has expired though, meaning you will have to pay for the base game.
