Gran Turismo 7 is trying to be the ultimate arcade racing game with its launch this week. There are so many little details and customization options that gearheads might go nuts over it. It’s even trying so hard to be loved by gearheads that you have to wash your cars to remove the dirt they accrue from racing. This simple task is part of the Squeaky Clean Trophy, and requires a bit of story progression. To do this though, you will need to unlock GT Auto. How to wash your car in Gran Turismo 7
The option is tucked away inside of the GT Auto menus. Once that region of the map is unlocked by completing Menu Books, you will unlock the Maintenance & Servicing floor. Go there any pay the 50 Credit fee to wash you ride.
How to unlock GT Auto
Doing the right sequence of actions will unlock GT Auto as a visitable region. Within this menu, there are many options for making your cars your own, including being able to wash your car in Gran Turismo 7. You need to get through the game until you are given access to the quest, “European Classic Compacts Menu 3 in the GT Café“. This is how you unlock the right car to actually get into the new mode. Completing this Menu Book will unlock a certain car you need. Once you unlock the Mini-Cooper S ’65, you will be asked to complete a race with it. Simply finish in a podium spot while driving this vehicle to unlock GT Auto Mode.
GT Auto has three main functions for you to use:
- Maintenance & Servicing – Here you can fix and repair your car to keep it in the race.
- Customize Cars – Wheels, paint, liveries and many other cosmetic changes to your car are done here.
- Driving Gear – Use this to customize the colors and decals on your driving suit.
There are many other things you can customize as well. Your livery on your cars can obviously be tuned to your liking. There are also a lot of cars that you can tune and upgrade. Being able to customize the look of your driver is a new option this year as well.
