How to use the tent in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1

The new season for Fortnite is here. The Foundation is still causing chaos, what with flipping the island in Chapter 2. The Foundation has returned to Fortnite, and there are sure to be challenges around finding them over Chapter 3. Things are sure to get chaotic. There will surely be weekly challenges to contend with. And with all of the new competition, players need every tool in their arsenal to survive.

The biggest change seen in Chapter 3 right now is the addition of a camping system. Players have a deployable tent they can drop to do certain things. The biggest use is that the tent in Fortnite Chapter 3 can store weapons for future rounds. If you have a powerful weapon you want to stash for next round, run it back to the deployed tent and place it inside. You get two slots for items by default, and Gold Bars can be spent to open a third.

The other option you want to use with the tent in Chapter 3 is to heal. By resting at the camp you can heal up damage. And when combined with the scavenging of healing items, you can easily get a clutch heal in if you time it right.

Tents can also be broken down and moved in case you need to evac in a hurry. What the tent can do varies by the game type. If you’re playing in a Duos, Trios, or Squads team, the campsite will allow other team members to buy their own tent with Gold Bars when they interact with it.

And with all the new challenges and tasks each week, there’s plenty of new rewards to earn. A new Spider-Man skin has dropped with multiple flavors. That’s just the basics though, there’s so much more. The camping and tents also tie into the Milestones for this season. So get out there and explore to see what you can find. And if you want to get out of dodge faster, use that new slide.
