How to use the repulsor in Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite has exploded onto the scene, and bringing with it hundreds of thousands of fans back into the genre. With that many players across PC and Xbox, there’s a lot of new people hopping into the fight. With this new game, comes new tools and weapons. Players have items like the repulsor to help change the dynamics of moving around the map. Use this guide to figure out how to use the repulsor in Halo Infinite.

What is the repulsor in Halo Infinite?

If you remember some of the older games, you might remember the grav lifts around many maps. These pads would fling a Spartan across a gap or onto a new level, and where a great way to fling objects and grenades around. Players loved messing with them. While the repulsor in Halo Infinite doesn’t allow linear movement, there is some interaction with objects. You can trigger it to fling stuff around in a very similar manner to the older game’s grav lifts.

Like any other tool, you just throw it down with the Use Equipment button and let it work its magic. When activated, the repulsor causes a magnetic force to project the player off of nearby objects. There’s an infinite number of ways to use the Repulsor, it just depends on how creative you are. You can easily use it to force enemy vehicles and players away from you. if you’re about to get splattered, it can be pretty handy.

There’s also a good way to zip around the map with them. If you aim at the ground, you can basically jump really high. You can even use it to bounce exploding objects into other players if you aim it right. Just throw down your own grenade then fire the repulsor to launch grenades at your enemies. If you time it right, you can even bounce grenades back at the enemy.

Similarly, if you have a weapon in front of you, you can fire it off the ledge and over to another area. If you played Halo 2 and remmebered using fusion coils to knock weapons off of ledges in some maps, this is the same concept. Aim and fire to get your hands on a weapon from far away. You can also use it to deny certain tools to the enemy.

And don’t feel bad if you’re a new player, there’s a lot to learn. Be warned though, sometimes people can be mean. If you don’t want to deal with toxic players, try muting them.

You might also have some other questions about the game. If you have gameplay questions, you might be new to CTF. That means it’s a good idea to learn the controls, like how to drop the flag. There’s some free cosmetic 20th anniversary content you can claim. You can also customize your Spartan in many ways, so try that out. If you’re the kind of person who only wants to play with console or PC players, you can also get around the crossplay.
