How to heal and combine herbs in Resident Evil 3 Remake

The Herbs in Resident Evil 3 Remake have returned as a fixture of the new game, bringing with them their classic effects and lore significance from other RE titles. The original Herbs in the franchise grew exclusively in the Arklay Mountains, which is why Umbrella always held a presence there. The iconic mansion from the first game was one of several research facilities for Umbrella to conduct bio-weapons research, derived in part from these herbs.

In Resident Evil 3 Remake, the effects of these herbs are largely the same as they have always been. And you will want and need a steady supply of these items throughout the game. Herbs are the primary healing item spread throughout the ruins of Raccoon City, and you’re going to need to find them throughout the game.

Check drawers, boxes, lockers, anything where the prompt appears for searching for items. The spawns seem to be set in some cases and random in others. There may also be Herbs inside Safe Rooms from time to time, be sure to check thoroughly for these items. If you found a Herb, select Use in your inventory on said item to consume it and heal any damage or status effects.

Resident Evil 3 Remake also brings back the Parasite status effect, which you will need to combine Herbs to deal with. To combine items, open your Inventory, and highlight the item, select “Combine,” then click on the item you wish to combine it with. Combining is also a great way to produce new ammo types, and to save space in your inventory.

Herbs can also be combined, to increase or change their effects.
