How to upgrade your house in Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley 1.5 update

Stardew Valley has a lot of things you can do to your new farm home. Build friendly and romantic relationships with your chummy neighbors, all while exploring a wide array of locales and quests. This game is incredibly complex and is a ton of fun for casual gamers. And in the process of making your dream farm, you will need various upgrades and new structures. You can even move items around your farm by talking to Robin.

This means you will need to head to Robin in the Carpenter’s Shop to get any new buildings, as well as to upgrade your house in Stardew Valley. The Carpenter’s Shop is located in the Mountain area north of Pelican Town. The shop is open most days from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Each day the store is not open, you can find Robin around town talking to various NPCs.

In addition to having Robin build new stuff for you, there is an inventory you buy from Robin directly for pre-built furniture. The first house upgrade, and each following one, will unlock a bunch of new items as well.

Below you can find each of the upgrade tiers currently in the game. You can unlock various new mechanics with each upgrade. The first tier can unlock the basics of cooking, as well as the ability to marry a chosen NPC. Further upgrades also enable the ability to have children.
