Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is upon us, and there’s lots of challenges and hidden items to find. The game has added a bunch of new challenges, which will often swap around each week, so get them while you can. One of the new weekly Epic quests involves finding and upgrading your weapons a bit. This will offer some nice damage boosts for the simple process. Here’s what you need to do to upgrade weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
The basic process is to find one of these NPCs and interact with them. When you do, a radial menu shows up with a few options. Pick the option to Upgrade. It’s a very simple thing to do, and it just requires you to find the NPC you want to interact with. Go check out the NPC locations map the community put together. Said map has a ton of the spawn locations put on it, with named POIs and all.
A variety of other challenges exist around this mechanic and similar ones in Season 6. Some weekly challenges are centered around finding and buying weapons and gear from these NPCs. There are also crafting challenges like the Hunter’s Cloak.
