Forza Horizon 5 is a huge and open world, and it has a lot going on. There’s a lot to learn for new fans coming to the series. And even for old fans returning, there’s a lot to get used to. The new game has added new events and race types, and redone a lot of technical aspects. Forza Horizon 5 also added some new mechanics to wrangle.
Some of the core elements in the game involve navigating around the map, completing events. As you complete more races, you will earn a bunch of rewards. These are called Horizon Adventure chapters in Forza Horizon 5. You can track your progress through the game by looking at what chapters you have unlocked. Check that on the top left of the campaign map menu.
These chapters are how the player can unlock many new mechanics. For one thing, you can unlock new race types like Drift Zones to flex your driving skills. Each zone of the map has an outpost associated with it, and a set of challenges to complete.
Once you’ve obtained points, go to ‘Horizon Adventure’ in the Campaign tab of the main menu. From there, you can look at the various events split into Chapters. Each chapter has a certain number of unlocks. Spending an Accolade Point on one of the pips unlocks certain events relating to each mode. Each section of the map has different chapters associated with it.
So how do you unlock the Accolade Points?
How Accolades work in Forza Horizon 5
The Accolades are a set series of challenges you can finish to unlock certain rewards. You will most often spend these points on the campaign map to unlock new modes. As you become a better driver and perform well in races, expect to get more.
Progression in the Accolade system is rather simple. Each time you complete an Accolade, you get a certain number of points for it. As you get further in the story, you will unlock more complex challenges. There are currently more than 1,500 points to be earned throughout the game, and more are sur to be added over time.
Accolades are often broken up by difficulty and location. So expect the challenges found in the final zones to be much tougher. The initial 35 challenges for Accolades are pretty easy for novice drivers to finish.
